Able Light Cornerstone Village

Presented by Tom Campbell; VP of Real Estate for AbleLight and Allison Katula; Independent Living Advocate for AbleLight Cornerstone Village

Cornerstone Village is an innovative housing option for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities that is founded on the principle that people with all abilities thrive when they live together. Built on 5 pillars, the Cornerstone housing model is intended first and foremost to build both inward facing and outward facing community.  Let us show you how understanding community needs and building strong partnerships creates affordable, vibrant living options for people with IDD.

Woodside Prairie

Presented by Riv Goldman; President of Woodside Prairie and Alan Goldman; Secretary/Treasurer of Woodside Prairie

The financing for Woodside Prairie was completed September 28, 2021 with the announcement by WHEDA that Woodside Prairie would receive tax credits and a grant totaling about $7.5 Million. With an additional loan and the gifting of the land in Grafton, we are now in a position to build this $9.5 million project. Impact 7, the developer, is out selling the tax credits to investors – a process that should be completed over the next month. Then we should be in a position this summer to start construction. We currently have about 15 families interested in having a family member be a part of the Woodside Prairie community. Those who are interested have children who seem remarkably similar. Most do not have speech and do have behavioral challenges – but all have been fully engaged in their communities and sports and the arts throughout their lives. We also will have eight two-bedroom apartments available on the property.
